The Lord Is Our Ever Present Help
The Lord thinketh
upon me: thou art my help and my deliverer;1 and
strength,2 for the LORD:
He is our help and our shield,3 God is our refuge a
very present help in trouble,2 for which our soul waiteth.3
And the LORD shall help them, and
deliver them: He shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them because they
trust in Him.4 Let thine hand help me; for I have chosen thy
precepts.5 For My help cometh from the LORD,6 which made
heaven and earth.7
Fear thou not; for I am
with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee;
yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of My
righteousness.8 For I the LORD
thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.9
Therefore now, behold,
mine Angel shall go before thee,10 Thy angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that
fear Him, and delivereth them,11 He will go before thee, and
make the crooked places straight,12 And the LORD, He it is that doth go
before thee; He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee:
fear not, neither be dismayed,13 For thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor
dismayed by reason, for the battle is not yours, but God's.14.
Let us, therefore,
come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace
to help in time of need,15 For the Holy Ghost shall teach you
in the same hour what ye ought to say.16
The meek will He
guide in judgment: and the meek will He teach His way,17 Thou
shalt guide me with Thy counsel,18 I will instruct thee and
teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with Mine eye,19
Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all
truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that
shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come.20
